Teens, Sexual Temptation, and Being Out of School (Summertime)
I have been the youth pastor at two different churches throughout my ministry. One thing that I have learned is that the summertime is often a very dangerous time for many teens. Why? Too much time without structure.
My dad always said, “An idle mind is the Devil’s workshop”. If this is true with adults (and it is), then how much more applicable is this with children?
One of the great temptations that many of our teens will face during the summertime is sexual temptation. Any parent that has a thimbleful of values understands that this is the case.
My recommendation? Well, I guess I could give you some quick tips, but if you as a parent do not understand the “why” behind the “what”, then you will probably fail in properly implementing any of these tips. So, I would have to highly recommend that you, at the very least, take a look at our Audio Cd Series that has been designed for teens, singles, and parents of the same.
