I Want to Give Up on My Marriage
Question:
“My wife and I have been married for about 7 years. We don’t have any chidren and we make good money, but we are always at each other. No matter what we do, we can’t seem to snap out of this. Is this the way marriage is supposed to be, or is there any other alternative? I want to give up.”
Answer:
Most marital issues that I deal with fall underneath the umbrella of the following scenario. Read this and see if this does not describe your situation. This article is called “The Question Every Wife is Asking”.
I truly believe that most wives are subconsciously asking their husbands a question on a daily basis. The question is, “Am I still beautiful enough in your eyes so that if you had it to do all over again, you would still marry me?”. Unfortunately, many husbands by their actions, words, and deeds are answering this question in the negative, and, when this question is answered in the negative, wives tend to react in a negative or an “ugly” fashion. Consequently, the husband views the reactions of his wife in a negative or an “ugly” light, therefore, he feels even less inspired to love and care for his wife.
The above mentioned scenario is what I call the Cycle of Resentment and Anger in a Marriage. It’s vicious and many have no idea how to snatch their relationship out of it.
