How to Change a Christian Marriage
How to Change Your Christian Marriage
How do you change your marriage? First and foremost, you must become the change that you want your marriage to be.
Though this should be the first step that husbands and wives take, it is usually only taken after many futile attempts to change the other half by arguing, fighting, withholding intimacy, wailing accusations, silent treatments, and so on an so forth. Let me save you a lot of time and frustration here. These tactics do not work! In fact, if you happen to make it work, let me know. From my experience, you will be the first!
If you are waiting around for the other person to change before you do, then you can basically expect a few of the following things to occur in your marriage:
1. The other half of the equation will fail to see their mistakes because of the fog that your own mistakes will cause.
2. The real issues that need to be fixed in the marriage are pushed down by trival fights and arguments about periphial issues.
3. The other person feels less and less motivated to change for the better because they see few changes in you.
