How the Bible Can Help Your Marriage
How the Bible Can Help Your Marriage – by Christian Marriage / Youth Speaker, Dr. Raymond Force
From a Biblical perspective (Bible-based), it is impossible for two people to grow closer to Christ and not to one another. Here’s a chapter and verse to confirm this principle:
I John 1:7 – “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another . . .”
The scriptures (Holy Bible) are teaching that if two people will walk with God, they will not only have a judicial relationship with one another, but also a deep and an intimate fellowship. In fact, in almost every instance, when I find that couples are not getting along, either one of them or both of them are violating the scriptures in some form or fashion.
Some years ago, my wife and I found ourselves emotionally, mentally, and spiritually far apart. Though we still had a judicial relationship with one another, there was a great divide between my heart and hers.
What was the solution? How did we bridge the gap between us? Ultimately, we built a bridge between our hearts with Christ, Biblical principles, and the Holy Spirit.
Though there are many things that you or someone you know can do to fix their marital woes, be sure to include Christ in the picture. If not, you are leaving out the building material that will make the strongest and the smoothest bridge possible between you and your spouse.
While there are a number of ways that you can begin to include Christ in your rebuilding process, we provide couples with an affordable, yet Biblical approach with our Audio Cd Series called How to Break the Cycle of Resentment and Anger in a Marriage.
